Our Solution

Leveraging Verizon’s 4G LTE network technology, the connected golf cars (exclusive to Club Car) include HD touchscreen displays and built-in speakers with Bluetooth connectivity to provide golfers the opportunity to enhance their golf experience. Features of the platform include GPS yardages, hole flyovers, music via streaming radio or Bluetooth, real-time sports ticker, live and on-demand sports including PGA TOUR, news and Greg Norman golf tips. The admin panel for Shark Experience is a white-labeled version of Edison’s robust advertising and content delivery platform, providing content providers and advertisers the ability to track statistics in real-time.

Avis Budget Group Travel Assistant

Our Goal

Our partners at Verizon asked us to arm rental car customers with all the tools necessary to have a stress free trip, while also providing ancillary revenue streams to our exclusive rental car partner, Avis Budget Group.

Our Solution

Powered by Verizon’s industry-leading 4G LTE Network, Edison developed a solution that works online and offline. Features of the platform include Google Translate, unlimited international talk & text, a personal, safe, reliable, secure WIFI hotspot, turn-by-turn directions, local discounts and offers, games & entertainment, streaming audio & video applications, a rental car partner app marketplace and a remote communication tool for the rental car companies. The backend dashboard is a white-labeled version of Edison’s robust data analytics platform, giving partners the ability to track advertising campaign performance, global device management, content delivery and a whole lot more in real time. The pilot launched in September of 2018 at all Avis Budget Group Manhattan locations and quickly expanded to JFK and Miami International Airports. The product is slated to scale nationwide in 2020.


Our Goal

The goal was to deploy a solution that addressed the complexities of international data speeds and costs, while maintaining an incredible customer experience. Due to the “part-time” nature of the gig-economy, our partners also needed to track devices and vehicles in all environments in order to protect their investment. Furthermore, all rideshare drivers are independent contractors and not required to install equipment into their vehicles, so our partners needed to incentivize them with a revenue share on all advertising generated for their passengers.

Our Solution

We developed a solution that works online and offline, while also allowing for systematic updating of content when vehicles are in range of WiFi. Features of the platform include a local hotspot guide, offers and discounts, live and cached television capabilities, programmatic advertising delivery, a WiFi hotspot and streaming audio & video applications. With Edison’s seamless installation and deployment solutions, we were able to develop one of the first in-vehicle content delivery systems that also provided robust device and advertising revenue share tracking capabilities on a per vehicle basis.
